In close cooperation with the Sigmund Freud University Vienna, we are holding a Diploma Program on Health Outcome Research and Health Economy. The first module will take place in Vienna from May 27th to 29th 2019. It is titled “Evidence Based Decision Making for Pricing and Reimbursement: From Theory to Practice”.
Who can participate?
We are holding this course for professionals who are working in the health industry or in the public health sector. This program is designed for everybody who has interest to get a deeper understanding of the diverse functioning of evidence-based decision making and the influence on reimbursement and market access decisions.
Do I get a certificate?
If you successfully complete a single module together with an assessment, you will receive a joint certificate from VSCR and SFU. For the completion of the base module and two complementary modules of choice, you will be awarded with an academic “VSCR/SFU Health Outcomes Research Academic Diploma”.
Why should I participate this November?
If you want to get the diploma, the completion of this base module is mandatory. Besides, it creates the foundation for a broader understanding of the complex field of Health Outcomes Research and Health Economy.
What is this course about? What will I learn?
We will give a broader insight of the aims and motives of specific actors who are involved in reimbursement decisions. Furthermore, we will discuss current trends in health care in Western European and CEE countries. Another focus will be on the deeper understanding of Health Technology Assessment and it’s influence on pricing and reimbursement decisions.
After the course you will have gotten a deep and professional understanding of the motives and influences of the different actors in the broad field of health economy.
Who is sharing his/her knowledge and expertise?
The Lecturers are international experts with an excellent reputation from academia, industry and governmental institutions.
The scientific coordinators of the first module will be Lieven Annemans, MSc, PhD, University of Ghent and Jürgen Raths, MD, Managing Director of Cordée Consulting, international experts in the field of health economics.

What are the costs?
Price for three days (module 1) is €3.450. For early booking until March 30th 2019 the price for four days is €2.990.
Participants from academia, non-profit or governmental institutions are granted €1.990 for four days (module 1).
